Spiritual Significance
The lamp features Goddess Kamakshi (a form of Parvati/Lalitha Tripurasundari) seated in a majestic posture, often flanked by sugarcanes and parrots.
The "Kula Deivam": If a family does not know who their ancestral deity (Kula Deivam) is, they worship the Kamakshi Vilakku, as she encompasses all forms of the Divine Mother.
